- Welcome to the India SME Forum, India’s largest Small & Medium Business Movement. Formed in May 2011, with the objective to propel a Small and Medium Business Movement across the country, our aim was to provide a voice to small and medium entrepreneurs, wilting under the non-entrepreneur friendly policies of the government, and to support and recognize innovative, globally competitive, SMEs in India.
- Starting out with 400 members in 2011, today we have over 76,000+ MSMEs as members, 270+ Sectoral & Regional Associations as Supporters and 35 major banks, corporations & organizations as partners.
- We have been at the forefront of demanding a radical change in the way our country is led. We are committed to a paradigm shift in the mindset of the people of our country, towards its entrepreneurs.
- We can feel a huge excitement in the next generation of entrepreneurs, and the MSME sector, India’s Second Largest Employment provider, which was feeling neglected and ignored, has renewed their faith in the possibilities and opportunities, opening up.
- As part of our mission, the India SME Forum, shares best practices, information and knowledge as well as seeks and recognizes MSMEs who have exhibited great success in leading their enterprises, creating much needed employment, enabling a sustainable ecosystem and catapulting their enterprise to the next stage, while navigating the inherent risks imminent with business.

India SME Forum has initiated Gujarat Chapter to unleash the potential of SME’s in the state of Gujarat. Nilesh Shukla was announced President for the chapter by India SME Forum in presence of Hon’ble Minister SME (Ex) Shri. Haribhai Chaudhary during Launch of the Chapter on 19th Aug 2017. The initiatives of the ISF-Gujarat Chapter hope to inspire willing and able SMEs that have the potential to be world- class enterprises and offer them the platform to promote themselves to partners, investors, and collaborators, to sustain long-term growth. ISF-Gujarat Chapter is well on its way to patronize the SME sector, with a view to act as a catalyst and provide every possible support to accomplish the mission.
India SME Forum is among the three national MSME organizations to find a place on the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. The Forum is an ex-officio gazetted member of India’s National Board of MSME, the apex MSME Statutory Body, since 2015, a Member of the High-Powered Monitoring Committee of the National SC/ST HUB under Stand-Up India and a Member of the RBI’s Standing Advisory Committee on Flow of Institutional Credit to MSME Sector, apart from contributing to various national and international think tanks, on the MSME & Entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Mission of India SME forum is to foster the development of a flourishing entrepreneurial culture and a competitive SME sector to support economic development. The core strategies employed by the India SME forum to achieving its mission are:

Innovation & Disruption
Business incubation has been globally recognized as an important tool for economic development and job creation. Centre for Entrepreneurship, Technology Incubation & Business Acceleration, (CETIBA) promotes and presents a unique opportunity for budding entrepreneurs and start-ups to take their business to the next level.
Established by India SME Forum, with the support of the Office of Development Commissioner, Ministry of MSME, the CETIBA is designed as a Model Technology Business Incubator under the Support for Entrepreneurial & Managerial Development of MSMEs through Incubators.
The incubation centres are based in Mumbai, Jammu and Vadodara with National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Government College of Technology and BITS Edu Campus as the host institute respectively.
The objectives of the CETIBA are:
- Incubation of innovative ideas/technology in the potential sectors
- To provide a platform for speedy commercialization of technologies developed in the host institution or with the
assistance of any academic and R&D institution in India or Internationally. - To provide networking between start-ups, academia, industry as well as development and financial institutions.
- To provide value added services viz. legal, financial, technical, IPR, etc. to incubatees.
- To promote new technology/knowledge-based enterprises and aid in New Enterprise Creation.
- To promote the business program to encourage entrepreneurship among students
The major activities undertaken by the CETIBA are selection of ventures, mentoring, seed funding, infrastructure support, review of ventures, resource network development. The ventures remain under active incubation support for a maximum of three years during which they are encouraged and supported to become independent and self-supporting.
